We have a similiar setup at work (g3mac w/8.1 os and 4.3protools((can't upgrade to 5 for various reasons including sdII)) this g3 previously was hooked via ethernet to a pentium 120mgz(all scsi-suprise) running NeXTStep 3.3.įile transfers between the two machines was possible via ethernet. Quite an elegant os if you ask me, which you did not- but i'm telling you anyway. Stripped windows 95 and dos off the machine Upgraded one 486 to loaded up w/ram massive improvement. Gave pentium to friend for immediate use, complete w/ windows 95. (all of them work- what a pity to throw away) Not exactly a ptmacos thread, but bear w/me.
